Minus of course the faults that you pointed out, but I could see where his head/heart was at in that video and I understand the point he was trying to get at. Apparently he has been exposed to some churches that are kind of the modern day synagogue where the pharisees make a show of their faith. That problem is as real as our need for religion and organized Christianity as you correctly pointed out.

He does have a few phrases in his poem that could use some correcting or at least be asked what he meant, but overall I thought his general point was outstanding. I think it is actually good for the church to be called out by one of our own and challenged to do a better job. You can't deny the fact that there is some true hypocrisy in churches here or there, but that doesn't mean we need to tear all the churches down and abolish the idea of it because well that is just an insane proposition.

What I would love to see in a large church that has a lot of income would be a body of believers that meet in a building that maybe doesn't look so fancy. Instead what they do with the money would be to give more and more to those in need. There's nothing wrong with having a nice place to worship, but at some point we have to draw the line between building up our own establishment and building up others. If we can adequately worship with as little as we can that leaves more resources to help those in need which is a vital part of the church mission.

So once again, I loved his video but you pointed out some weak points and ideas that he could have covered a little better, and therefore I applaud this response to it as well.rlog41https://www.blogger.com/profile/02396008526327507349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2681953675443018008.post-84434225230884201822012-01-12T23:37:31.415-06:002012-01-12T23:37:31.415-06:00thank youthank youAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00089862120560550880noreply@blogger.com
